Anne-Marie Rose of Rose Holistic Treatments, Bath, wins Highly Commended FHT Complementary Therapist of the Year at a national awards ceremony.
The award was presented to Anne-Marie at a prestigious FHT Excellence Awards Dinner held at the Royal Pump Rooms, Leamington Spa, on 17 November. Organised by the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT), the Excellence Awards aim to bring much deserved recognition to high-calibre practitioners, students and tutors working in the fields of complementary, sports and holistic beauty therapy.
Anne-Marie set up her therapy business, Rose Holistic Treatments, in May 2015, where she specialises in massage and reflexology. She was awarded Highly Commended Complementary Therapist of the Year in recognition of the excellent client service she provides to the Bath community.
As well as running a thriving private practice where she helps clients with a wide range of health needs, Anne-Marie also runs a reflexology service for the clients of VOICES, a charity that supports survivors of domestic abuse and violence. A representative from the charity commented on Anne-Marie’s award nomination: ‘We have received very positive feedback about Anne-Marie’s sensitive and professional approach, and her ability to help people feel that they are in a safe and confidential space. I can’t recommend her work highly enough and we hope to continue using her services, which we feel are a real benefit to people who have faced, and continue to face, very challenging situations with very few opportunities for self-care and relaxation.’
Her passion for helping others has also seen Anne-Marie treating elderly clients at a local residential home, and providing free therapy sessions to carers of people with mental health issues and terminal cancer. On top of this, she also finds time to offer business advice to other therapists in her area, to help them promote and build their own business.
Speaking about her win, Anne-Marie says: ‘I am delighted to win this award as it is recognition of all my hard work and efforts to build a successful therapy business that supports both the local community and charities.’
Paul Battersby, President of the FHT, says: ‘These awards are designed to recognise individuals and businesses that are excelling in therapy practice and education. Winners like Anne-Marie should be exceptionally proud to be selected from a pool of high-calibre peers, in a ceremony that is recognised across the industry. Well done.’
