07.30 - On The National Express Coach
Awake and up at 6am to get the 7.30am National Express Coach from Bath to London! Very excited! Arrived at London Victoria and got the tube across to Olympia.
11am - Coffee and Cake courtesy of Havwoods!
A most welcome sight on arrival to Olympia - a London Bus with a cafe giving away hot drinks and little cakes - so being a keen "coffee and cake" person I had no doubt that I would try the offerings! Was asked to also do a short video clip too!
11.30 - Finally arrive at CamExpo!
I picked up a prize draw trail card at the entrance in order to be in with a chance of winning £3,000 worth of therapy essentials - and managed to complete the trail card after much effort - so fingers crossed! Would be lovely to enhance my business with new ideas/equipment for my lovely clients.
11.55 - 13.25 Workshop with Annalisa Zisman "Scalp Massage: Relaxing The Head to Calm The Mind"
Excellent workshop, met two other therapists and took turns to practice the routine on each other and having received a massage myself I cannot wait to try this out, it will be the perfect addition to any massage booked with me! If necessary I could offer this as an additional short treatment to go enhance the massage.
13.30 - 14.40 Looking Around The Stands
Looked around the stands, tried products, picked up information and met some lovely people.
14.40 - 14.55 CThA Rest 'n' Relaxation Zone!
Co-hosted by the CThA, the Rest & Relaxation Zone is the place to go to take the weight off your feet and spend 15 minutes relaxing away from the busy show floor. I chose a lovely and much needed neck and shoulder massage and all treatments are performed by highly skilled CThA Members.
A suggested donation of £5 goes towards the Haven Charity and proceeds matched by CThA at close of the show. The Haven Charity is based in Fulham and supports women with breast cancer by offering a wide range of emotional, physical and practical support which including over 40 complementary therapies, counselling, nutritional advice, exercise classes, financial advice and support groups.
15.00 - 15.45 Business Clinic - Learn The Top Tips To Running A Successful Practice with the Industry's number 1 Business Expert - The Cam Coach, Mark Shields
This was an excellent seminar!
"Based upon the bestselling book “The CAM COACH” this business clinic will cover all the fundamental business critical principles and strategies to ensure you make a success of your business. Mark and the CAM Coach team have mentored and coached hundreds of therapists over the last 10 years and in this clinic they share many of their secrets and best practices.

16.00 - 16.30 Final Look Around
16.30 Panic Stations!
I thought I had booked my return coach for 19.00! No! It was at 17.30 and that gave me one frantic hour to run to the Kensington Olympia Tube Station, change stations at West Brompton and dash across London to get to Victoria Coach Station for 17.30 and get the coach back to Bath!!! It is next Sunday when I return at 19.00 after the Holistic Business Awards Ceremony, not after the CamExpo event! In all my excitement of the event I hadn't even looked at the return coach time, just assumed I had booked 7pm!!!
11pm - Home safely.
And will return next year - 24-25th September 2016. Such a great event!
